  • Deathflake Mittens – yarn = Spud & Chloe Fine in black and white, needles = US 0 (ribbing) + US 1.5
  • DK house socks – yarn = Mirasol Yarn Hacho in 307 (black rainbow), needles = US 4

Finished Works:

  • Back strap woven scarf (finally!)
  • Mom’s Socks – yarn = Patons Kroy Socks FX in color 1209, needles = US2

Spinning:

  • Newspaper yarn fail
  • Finished 4 oz of The Sheep Shed merino/tussah silk; no colorway (blues and purples and silver). Got 424 yards of heavy fingering/sport.

  • Loop’s new shop-specific Madelinetosh colorway, Susquehanna (yes, I know I said Malabrigo in the color Rivulet. Rivulet is the name of the accompanying shawl. Malabrigo is just another yarn company that begins with “M”. My bad.)

  • Hitchhiker – yarn = black Momostenango, Guatemala handspun, needles = US9

Spinning:

  • Finished Teeswater roving from Rhinebeck ’13 (Looking Glass Wool in Clinton County, MI). 3.8oz/242 yards of light sport weight 2-ply.
  • Spinning The Sheep Shed merino/tussah silk; 1/2 lb., no colorway (blues and purples and silver). Purchased at Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool several years ago–but they always set up there!

Miscellany:

  • Wheel wax = furniture polish made with beeswax, coconut oil, cedar essential oil. Everything is moisturized.
  • Gourd pins. I use them for my Etsy shop. I use them as stitch markers. Cheapskates of the world, unite!
  • Reading The Icarus Girl by Helen Oyeyemi
  • Watching Breaking Bad…yeah, I know I’m late to the party.

  • Plying vegetable-dyed wool from Momostenango – finished the Sacatintas/Desert Honeysuckle color.
  • Finished Arrow Acres Farm (Wall, NJ) 3.7 oz 100% alpaca (color: Lily & Bing). 380 yards of lace weight 2-ply.
  • My wheel = unfinished Ashford Kiwi 2
